The story of Lottie Shaw’s craft bakery began over 100 years ago in 1912, when Lottie’s great aunts created their original recipe for their much-loved Yorkshire Parkin. Three generations of bakers later, Lottie discovered the original recipe – and as they say, the rest is history.

Lottie Shaw’s was founded in 2005 in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, with the ethos to bake the way it’s always been done: by hand, with care, and always rooted in Yorkshire tradition.
“I grew up in my family’s bakery—baking has always been a part of who I am. Lottie Shaw’s began when I found my great aunts’ original recipe for Yorkshire parkin. It was the first recipe I found and baked, and to this day, it remains the brand’s best-selling product. It’s also won several awards, which we’re incredibly proud of.
“The brand is still proudly based in West Yorkshire where our team of bakers make everything on site. Every product is baked, packed, and shipped from here – ensuring we remain true to our heritage.
“When we first set out, we used to sell our baked products at local markets, but we soon started getting approached by independent retailers like Fodder and garden centres in the areas asking us to supply to them. With a need to expand, in 2015 we moved to a larger, purpose-built bakery that gave us the space we needed to grow—while still staying true to our Yorkshire roots. In 2024, Lottie Shaw’s joined the Jacksons Bakery family – another proud family-owned Yorkshire bakery, ready to take the brand on the next stage of its journey”

“We’ve been working with Fodder since they first opened their doors in 2009, they have always been great supporters of ours and I am very proud of that relationship.
“Our product range has always been very popular with Fodder customers, but our signature Yorkshire Parkin is a bestseller! It’s made with all natural ingredients which are Yorkshire-sourced where possible. We make them in small batches to ensure the quality remains consistent.
“Our seasonal range is also very popular. Our traditional deep filled mince pies are always well received at the Fodder Christmas Extravaganza and are served in the Fodder Kitchen at Christmas, which speaks volumes about the trust Fodder has in our product.”
