King of Gin

We are proud to stock a fantastic range of Yorkshire gins and have recently welcomed another local distiller to our shelves. But with so many different gins on the market what makes their gin different?

BOTANICALS ?  INNOVATION ? AND TREE PLANTING ?

Located just ten miles north of York, the Cooper King Distillery sits nestled between the rolling contours of the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the rugged Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Created by an architect and scientist the distillery is entirely self-built by the founders, founders club and friends. It is also powered by 100% green energy, and not only that, 1 square metre of woodland is planted in the Yorkshire Dales for every bottle of gin sold, offsetting CO2 and improving the landscape and biodiversity of the area.

The innovation doesn’t stop with the building or tree planting. Uniting state-of-the-art vacuum distillation with a traditional copper still, in a process that’s tailored to suit each individual botanical, creating gins with the freshest, fullest flavours unlike any others.

Combine this with fantastic local botanicals such as honey from the family beehives, locally grown lavender and warming cardamom gives the dry gin a silky mouthfeel, incredible savoury flavours and delicate floral notes.

Wait until you try the Herb Gin! Fresh basil, lemongrass and clove create a bright, herbaceous gin with a cooling finish.

So next time you are in Fodder be sure to pick up a bottle! They also offer a refill service from their distillery!
