In the chilly winter months a hearty breakfast is the best way to kick start your day! Our simple recipe for creamy Yorkshire organic porridge may not be ground breaking but it will certainly leave you feeling ready to go. With the finest of organic oats from customer favourite, J Stringer & Sons of High Callis Wold and creamy organic local milk from the Yorkshire Dales this is the perfect base to enjoy as is or top with delicious seasonal treats. Why not try sticky and sweet Harrogate honey, tart grated apples or a trio of berries in the summer when our Farm Shop’s shelves are bursting with juicy local strawberries and more.

Method

Measure out porridge oats and add to a heavy bottom, non stick sauce pan. Pour in the milk, a pinch of seas salt and stir to combine.

Turn heat on high and bring to a simmer for 4/5 minutes, stirring frequently to give you a creamy porridge.

Top with desired toppings and enjoy!
